“Emergency services in community health centers and RSUD are still opened, including emergency ambulance with 119 integrated emergency handling system services. Only polyclinic services in urban village and sub-district community health centers as well as RSUD that are closed,” stated Head of Jakarta Health Department, Dien Emmawati.

According to her, Jakarta Health Department has arranged the working hours of doctors and nurses so they can still use their rights to vote. The election time is held from 7 AM until 1 PM. Thus, medical personnel can still cast their votes in the morning and work afterwards.

Election Day, Transjakarta Bus Will Operate As Usual

In addition, Emmawati explained that the closing of some healthcare services is conducted based on Jakarta General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) No. 26/2013 on Voting that says voting day is determined as holiday. With that, it is expected the citizens would use their rights to vote and the amount of golput (people not using their rights to vote) could be pressed.
